Riley Johnson

RIley is a recent grad from VCC College of Music In Vancouverwith a Bachelor of Music Degree specializing in Jazz and has been a mainstay and principal tenor/Alto player in the VCC Jazz Band and in their funk-rock group. Riley is the tenor player with Saxalamode besides gigging around town with various bands
Greg Oryall
Baritone Sax/Clarinet
Greg is a long time performer in Vancouver from the days when he performed in the BCIT Big Band with Alan Matheson and with various groups around town. At present he is Saxalamode's Baritone sax player.

Lawrence Graduated from Boston's prestigious Berklee College of Music and after playing and arranging for the army band in New York, he went and played in a show band in a Catskill resort for seven years.He then went on to play in over seventy five Broadway Musicals around the world including 42nd Street in Japan,West Side Story in Brasil, Switzerland, Evita in Berlin and A Chorus Line in Taiwan. He also toured with Michael Bolton and Jack Jones. In addition he spent several years working on cruise ships including a world cruise with Cunard Lines. At present Lawrence teaches at the BC Conservatory of Music and is Saxalamode's alto and Soprano player

Victor Guy has a Bachelor of Music degree and a Masters of Music Education from the University of British Columbia. He has studied with Henry Ohlman of UBC, Larry Teal of the Teal School of Music in Detroit and Stan Karp of Capilano University College.
In his career, Victor has played principal clarinet with the International Honour Band, clarinet with the UBC Wind Ensemble, Bari sax with the Impressions Band, alto with the Vancouver Firemen's Band, first alto saxophone in the Delta Band, alto saxophone with SaxNoir Sax Quartet, first clarinet with the 15th Field Artillery Band. Victor was also the Music Director of the Deep Cove Swing Band, The CBC Summer Band, the Britannia Community Band, the Brit Rhythm Machine and the Summer Centre of the Arts, Eric Hamber Secondary School. At present, he conducts the North Vancouver Community Band. Victor also freelances in town, playing with various other groups such as the Sanctuary All Stars and the Take 5 Jazz Ensemble. Victor is the manager of Saxalmode and plays alto sax.
